Hello, Dolly! (July 14-23)
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (July 28-August 6)

SCHEDULE (subject to change)

  • Arrival day is May 30 for technical and costume staff, June 8 for sound and lighting staff. Contracts end between July 31 and August 6, depending on position. 
  • Work hours Tuesday-Sunday are communicated by shop managers, appropriate meal and rest breaks are included; Mondays are generally company days off with tech weeks as exceptions in some departments; on those weeks, an alternate day off will be scheduled. 

DUTIES

  • Technicians are expected to work as directed by shop managers, Technical Director, designers, Managing Director, and Producing Artistic Director. Schedules and assignments will be communicated on a daily basis. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age (as of May 30, 2023)
  • Must have at least one year of college level theatre training or commensurate professional (paid) experience.

OPEN POSITIONS as of 4/3/23:

Sound Designer/Audio Engineer ($5400/season): coordinates with all departments regarding sound reinforcement needs, designs small sound cues (as needed), attends second week of rehearsals (from designer run on) and works with sound staff to mix the shows. This position is for an artist with significant industry experience. June 8-August 7

Costume Shop Manager ($4000/season): works with Costume Designers and 1st Hand to manage workflow, staff, and schedule for the summer, as well as assisting with build and creation of specialty pieces. Ideal candidate would be post-MFA or near completion of MFA in costume design. May 30-August 7

Gen Tech Intern – ASM (1 remaining) ($2750/season): works in assigned shops as general technician, serves as SL deck ASM on one production, joins stage management staff from designer run forward. May 30-August 7

Gen Tech Intern (1 remaining) ($2500/season): works in assigned shops as general technician, serves on run crew for all performances. May 30-August 7

FILLED Properties Intern ($2750/season): assists Properties Lead and Properties Assistant on build of all props and runs props for all performances. May 30-August 7

FILLED Paint Intern ($2750/season): assists paint staff with execution of scenic paint techniques, serves on run crew for all performances.May 30-August 7

FILLED – Assistant Technical Director/Master Carpenter (3) ($3375/season): works on shop draftings, assists with coordination between different shops. Requires carpentry skills and knowledge of at least one other area (electrics, scenic, paint, props). Each person hired in this position will ATD one show, serve as Master Carpenter for one show, and Carpenter for one show. May 30-July 31 (if ATD for final production, contract will end August 7)

FILLED – Carpenter (1) ($2925/season): builds scenic pieces based on ATD/TD instruction; works with shop manager, TD, ATD, Master Carpenter, Scenic Designer on completion of build. May 30-July 31

FILLED – Carpentry Intern ($2750/season): Assists carpentry staff with build of show, serves on run crew for all performances. May 30-August 7

FILLED – Sound Assistant (A2) ($2700): works with Sound Designer to set up and maintain sound equipment, assists Sound Designer on all performances. June 8-August 7

FILLED – Production Electrician ($3375/season): assistant to lighting designer, programs board during tech, leads practical wiring, hang and focus light plot before tech, maintains design of show. June 8-August 7

FILLED – Assistant Production Electrician ($2925/season): assists LD and PE on all lighting needs. Serves as board operator for all performances. June 8-August 7

FILLED – Electrics Intern ($2475/season): assists Lighting Designer and PE with execution of show, serves on run crew for all performances. June 8-August 7

FILLED – Properties Lead ($3375/season): works with Scenic Designer and TD on design and build/acquisition of all furniture and hand props needed for show. May 30-July 31

FILLED – Properties Assistant ($2925/season): assists Properties Lead on build/acquisition of all props. May 30-July 31

FILLED – Scenic Charge ($3375/season): serves as manager of paint shop, is in charge of interpreting design and renderings and execution of all scenic paint techniques. Works with Scenic Designer, TD, ATD, Shop Manager on workflow. May 30-July 31

FILLED – Scenic Artist (2) ($2925/season): assists Scenic Charge in execution of all scenic paint techniques. May 30-July 31

FILLED – Production Stage Manager ($5400/season): Supervises stage management staff and acting intern company, works closely with Managing Director/Production Manager/TD on scheduling, paperwork, and communications between all departments; serves as stage manager for shows 1 and 3 and provides oversight assistance for show 2. This position is for an artist with significant industry experience. June 3-August 7

FILLED – Stage Manager for Show 2 ($1500/season): works with PSM, MD, etc. and serves as stage manager for Hello, Dolly!.  June 18-July 23

FILLED – Costume Shop First Hand ($3375/season): assists Costume Designers on acquisition and construction of all costumes for season. Requires pattern drafting skills, excellent hand and machine sewing skills. May 30-July 31

FILLED – Stitcher ($2925/season): works with First Hand, Costume Designers, and Costume Shop Manager on acquisition and construction of costumes for the season. May be assigned an assistant designer position for one show during the season, dependent on skill set. Requires proficiency at hand and machine sewing. May 30-July 31

FILLED – Wardrobe Intern ($2500/season): works with Costume Shop staff on construction of all costumes. Organizes and maintains wardrobe for dress rehearsals and performances, and serves as run crew. May be assigned a crew lead position dependent on skill set. Experience with hand and machine sewing required. May 30-August 7
