Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre is a professional, non-Equity theatre company produced by Shenandoah Conservatory of Shenandoah University.
All shows are produced with full sets, lights, and costumes, and the complete cast and orchestra as licensed. The entire company averages 150+ members. Audiences are drawn from a 150-mile radius; total attendance for a typical season is 29,000 people. Work begins in late May and the season closes at the end of July/beginning of August.
All positions are paid; housing in a university dormitory is available for the acting company, technical and costume staff, and orchestra ONLY. No housing is available for front of house staff or high school apprentices. All positions require basic computer skills, regular access to email, and ability to lift, bend, stoop, stand, and sit.
