High School Apprentice

Applications for the 2026 season are now open! 

SCHEDULE (subject to change)

• Work hours Tuesday-Sunday are communicated by shop managers, appropriate meal and rest breaks are included; Mondays are generally company days off with tech weeks as exceptions in some departments; on those weeks, an alternate day off will be scheduled. 

DUTIES

• Technicians are expected to work as directed by shop managers, designers, creative teams, stage management, Managing Director, and Producing Artistic Director. Schedules and assignments will be communicated on a daily basis. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Must be at least 16 years of age by the beginning of the contract
• Must be currently enrolled in or have just graduated from high school
• Must have local housing and transportation

INTERVIEWS:

Once all materials have been received and reviewed, you may be invited to interview via Zoom or in person. These interviews and auditions will be held in April/May, 2026.

COMPENSATION: 

Varies, but typically $200 per week of work.

POSITIONS:

Acting Apprentice: this position will appear in one show during the season. Commitment is approximately 4 weeks.

General Technical Apprentice: this position will work in the shops assisting with the build of one show. Commitment is approximately 2 weeks.

Run Crew Apprentice: this position will work on the run crew during tech and dress rehearsals as well as the performances of one show during the season. Commitment is approximately 2 weeks.

Run Crew Apprentice (full season): this position will work on the run crew for all tech and dress rehearsals as well as performances of all three shows during the season. Commitment is June 16-August 2.

Costume Shop Apprentice: this position will work in the shop, assisting with the build of one show. Commitment is approximately 2 weeks.

Wardrobe Apprentice: this position will work on the run crew during tech and dress rehearsals as well as the performances of one show during the season. Commitment is approximately 2 weeks.

Musician Apprentice: this position will play in the orchestra for one show in the season and will serve under the mentorship of a professional musician in their section. Commitment is approximately 3 weeks.
