Applications are now open for the 2026 season! 

Guys and Dolls (rehearsals begin June 3, performances run June 19-July 5)
She Loves Me (rehearsals begin June 20, performances run July 10-19)
Beautiful: The Carole King Musical (rehearsals begin July 8, performances run July 24-August 2)

SCHEDULE (subject to change):

  • Rehearsals run roughly 9 am to 9 pm with appropriate meal and rest breaks; Mondays are cast days off. Tech rehearsals are 8 out of 10 hours.  

DUTIES:

  • Actors are required to perform as cast and as directed
  • Non-AEA actors may be given understudy assignments, which will be communicated no less than 2 weeks prior to the first day of rehearsals
  • Actors will participate in any promotional activities as directed
  • Non-AEA actors may be asked to assist with simple technical duties for performance purposes (moving sets, props, etc.) and will have strike responsibilities immediately following the final performance
  • Non-AEA actors may be asked to assist with basic technical tasks in one of the shops when not called for rehearsal, not to exceed 3 hours per week

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age (as of June 3, 2026)
  • Should have at least one year of college-level theatre training or commensurate professional (paid) experience

POSITIONS: 

  • Non-AEA Ensemble Actor ($1400-1750/show) These positions are intended for those in the midst of their college training or those who have graduated in recent years. May be hired for more than one show in the season.
  • Guest Artist AEA or Non-AEA (non-AEA $1800/show, AEA Single Engagement Agreement, Category 2, Tier C) dates vary: will appear in a principal role in one show only. These positions are intended for those who have completed their training AND have significant experience working in the industry.   

APPLICATION PROCESS:

To be considered for a position in the SSMT 2026 company, please complete the form at the bottom of this page by Feb. 20, 2026. The form asks for a link to a video audition; you may also submit a reel and/or website. 

AUDITIONS:

All initial auditions are submitted online. In this audition, you will include a link to an UNLISTED YouTube video of two contrasting musical theatre song selections that fit the season. The total audition should be approximately 60-90 seconds. Once your materials have been reviewed,  we will contact you directly if we would like to see a callback audition, either via video or in person.
