Youth for SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN

SSMT is seeking two young actor/movers to play Young Don and Young Cosmo in Singin’ in the Rain this summer! Young people of all genders may submit; they should be between the ages of 8-12 and be under 5’2″ tall.

These are non-speaking, non-singing roles that rely on storytelling through movement and action. We will not be holding formal in-person auditions, but we are looking for a sense of who your child is, their curiosity and willingness to try new things, and their ability to follow directions. In the form below, we ask for a video of your child saying their name, their age, and why they are interested in performing. Let them say whatever they like, and try to film them unprompted and unscripted!

If selected, your young person will need to be available for all rehearsals and performances. Rehearsals begin June 11 and run Tuesdays-Sundays until opening on June 27. Performance days and times are found in the chart below.
