William Pierson (Scenic Designer) has over 300 design credits, including recent productions of My Fair Lady, Sweeney Todd, Monty Python’s Spamalot and Disney’s Mary Poppins. Bill is happy to be returning for his 25th season with SSMT. An Associate Professor at Shenandoah Conservatory of Shenandoah University, he received his MFA in design from Illinois State University. In addition to his recent design work with SSMT, he is also a freelance designer in the Baltimore-Washington Corridor and throughout the midwest. He was a recipient of the Cleveland Critics Circle Award for outstanding set design for Passion of Dracula and a CCCA nominee for One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. In addition, he received the American College Theatre Festival Award for his set designs of White Rose of Munich and Translations.
