Meet the director of The Music Man, Robin Higginbotham! Robin’s directing credits include The Will Rogers Follies (Shenandoah University), As It Is In Heaven and Seven Brides For Seven Brothers (Huntington University), and, as assistant director, Beauty and the Beast and Seussical, (SSMT). Robin lives and works in the NYC area.
Audiences may remember Robin in past SSMT shows such as The King and I (Lady Thiang), Les Misérables (Mme. Thénardier), 9 to 5 (Violet), Oliver! (Nancy), Peter Pan (Peter), and Chicago (Velma).. Other performing credits include New York and touring productions: Kenny Rogers in Christmas from the Heart. Off Broadway: Take it Easy. Regional Theatre: George M! (Fay), Charley’s Aunt (Amy), Nunsense (Sister Mary Leo). TV: All My Children and The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade (dancer/singer).
Most recently Robin has performed in two New York benefit shows: Tap Your Troubles Away for the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts and The 2014 Easter Bonnet Competition for Broadway Cares /Equity Fights Aids. Robin has choreographed for The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Cumberland County Playhouse, NYU’s production of Assassins, Coconut Grove’s Side By Side By Sondheim, a production for which she also served as assistant director, and Take it Easy (Off-Broadway).
